We believe in the power of play and exploration, preparing children for their next adventure in kindergarten and the value of child-led exploration in fostering a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.
Our days are filled with hands-on and meaningful experiences that support all areas of development including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive, while also preparing children for kindergarten by building early math, language, and problem-solving skills.
We draw inspiration from Montessori principles by supporting independence and choice that encourages children to be curious, creative, and confident. Children are invited to engage at their own pace, take initiative, and learn by doing in a thoughtfully prepared environment that is calm, welcoming, and full of opportunities for exploration.
At Sunny Park Preschool, we see every child as competent and full of potential. Our role as educators is to guide, observe, and nurture each child while fostering a strong sense of community, belonging, and readiness for their next big adventure!

Little Learners

Focus: Gentle introduction to preschool routines, socialization, play, early language, art, and sensory exploration.
Our Little Learners class is full of fun, hands-on play and exploration! Children will paint, build, sing, and discoverwhile learning our ABC’s, 123’s, and fine motor skills. Each day, they’ll experience socialization with friends, and gain confidence in a warm, nurturing environment.

Focus: Hands-on learning, early math & literacy exploration, creativity, problem-solving, curiosity, and confidence.
Explorers is a hands-on, play and learning program where children can discover, create, and explore the world around them. Through art, science, imaginative play, and engaging activities, children develop early math and literacy skills to prepare for kindergarten and school routines. Children will build confidence, curiosity, and social skills in a nurturing and fun environment.
Ideal For: Children ready for a consistent daily preschool experience and preparing for kindergarten.

Focus: Trial day with playful learning, art, and socialization
Friday Discovery is a playful, hands-on day of exploration! Perfect for children who are not yet ready for a multiple-day preschool class, or as a trial day, children can explore, create, and discover through art, sensory activities, and imaginative play. It’s a wonderful way for children to make friends, spark curiosity, and enjoy an afternoon full of fun in a nurturing environment.

Join us this summer at Sunny Park Preschool for our Sunny Explorers Summer Program, a hands-on, play-based experience for children ages 2.5–5.
Each week is filled with themed activities designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
This program is also a perfect opportunity for a trial experience of Sunny Park Preschool, giving families a chance to see our classroom, meet the teacher, and experience our close-knit, play-centered approach. With morning and afternoon sessions available, spots are limited, so early registration is encouraged!
Meet the Teacher
Each day is approached with care, patience, and attentiveness, guiding children with encouragement and support. My goal is to create an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to explore and learn!
My name is Amy, and I’m the owner and teacher at Sunny Park Preschool.
I hold a Level 3 Early Childhood Education Diploma and I am certified with a Montessori Early Childhood Teaching Diploma from NAMC. I also hold certifications for First Aid and CPR training.
I have spent the past 8 years working in the Early Childhood field with children of all ages, though my heart has always belonged to the preschool years. These early stages of growth are full of discovery, creativity, and joy, and I feel so lucky to be part of them.
My teaching philosophy blends Montessori-inspired play and exploration with child-led learning, with a focus on also preparing children for kindergarten. I nurture independence, curiosity, and self-confidence in every child.
This preschool was created to provide a learning environment where children are supported, encouraged, and given room to explore and grow. I wanted to build a space where each child feels seen, heard, and valued, and where families can feel confident knowing their little ones are in a safe, caring, and developmentally thoughtful setting.
